Hey there darlings! First I'd like to welcome all the new views to the Color My Face blog and page. I adore you all and appreciate your support from the bottom of my heart <3

As promised, I would do little blurbs here and there until the first Highlight Feature post but I thought it only right to properly introduce myself and give you all a clear picture of what Color My Face is and will be! 

For starters, my name is Rashida and I'm a freelance makeup artist from NY. I've worked professionally as a freelance artist for over four years now on clients from the small stage to Broadway, local productions to national TV. And I absolutely LOVE every minute of it!

As an artist I try my best to expand my knowledge of the makeup industry always, so there's never a time that I won't be caught reading, trying or buying something beauty related. In my opinion, as a MUA you can never learn enough. 

Recently, I've taken on the role of teacher with the Color My Face Makeup Artistry classes. You can find that story on my first blog post Eeeep, I'm blogging too!!!!!, and now this blog. As a whole I have a vision of Color My Face being a collective beauty community. Not just your average read my blog, watch my video, I am the end all to be all. But rather an interactive entity where your questions can be answered and taken seriously. In my classes no question is ever too small or insignificant, and that's the direction I'd like to go with this blog. Your questions, comments and request inspire me and from there I can shape Color My Face into not only what I want but what YOU ask for!

I am also a fan of the uncommon. I like to introduce people to products they may have never considered using or never even heard of. So do expect to see some "not so norm" suggestions, but trust me a you'll love them just as much as I do! There will also be times where it won't be about just us ladies... that's right, I have a few things planned just for the GUYS!!!! For my younger audience, a teen panel is on its way as well ^_^

Well, now that you know a little more about me I do hope to learn more about you....let's be friends! Comment below, let me know what you would like to see, the more suggestions the better. The follow up to this will be a product review on Steam Cream, and my first video tutorial. Question is what do you want to see? Eyes, lips, full face? You choose and that's what I'll do!

This will easy peasy, just a few simple rules and you're in!

Color YOUR Face Contest Rules

1. You MUST have given the Color My Face and Optima Beauty Supply page a Like on Facebook

2. You can ONLY enter the contest a total of 3 times 
  (yes, multiple entries allowed but no more than 3)

3. All photos submitted for the contest MUST be posted to the Color My Face page on Facebook OR Color My Face by Rashida blog
Submissions are to be as follows:
Pictures of  makeup YOU have applied to yourself (Full face, eyes, lips, or cheeks)
Each look will be a single submission
Comment on your pic submission with products used (optional)
Each submission must be new and not previously used in another contest or on another page, if the participant does so they will be disqualified

*average editing allowed, don't go crazy *

4. You MUST play fair *IMPORTANT*: 
There will be all levels of entries from beginner up, so please remember you were once a beginner too. It takes hella guts for someone to enter a contest like this on a public forum so lets all give them the respect they are do. Besides, the Admins on the CMF page will be keeping a close eye on entries, the Likes they receive and the comments. Judging will not only be a matter of a pretty makeup (Personally I'm not worried because I know you are all darlings). Remember, beauty starts from within and Color My Face is our own little beauty community so lets help it grow in a healthy way :-)

There will be 3 winners under 3 categories receiving gifts of equal value

1/Look

2/Creativity (artistic or application)

3/Active Participation 
(Likes, comments and input on submissions both FB & Blog)
